The penny stock of ORYN ended the day flat at $0.800. ORYN shares have gained more than 9% in the last five trading sessions.

Earlier this week, ORYN had announced that it has been selected to provide custom designed corporate apparel as part of a recent marketing initiative for a major U.S. aerospace manufacturer.

ORYN said that with the help of noted Dallas-based distributor Bob Lilly Professional Promotions, the company showcased the eye-catching appeal and marketability of Elastolite’s® ability to improve corporate branded products at Heli Expo 2012. The company said that its Elastolite product was enthusiastically well received and it believes that this will lead to subsequent opportunities at similar events.

Earlier this week, ORYN also announced that plans for mass production have reached a key phase with the departure of senior team members to China this week.

CEO Tom Schaeffer said that ORYN’s aim is to ensure a seamless transition to large scale production and the ability to reach quickly to any operational needs as they occur. Schaeffer further said that the company has invested considerable effort in preparing for this opportunity and its commitment is reflected in its desire to integrate smoothly with manufacturers.

At last check, the small-cap stock of VICL was trading 6.10% higher at $4, with volume up from daily average of 325,148 to 2.98 million. The stock touched an intra-day high of $4.24 in today’s trading. Year-to-date, the stock has fallen 9.75%.

VICL shares are gaining after the company today announced that it granted a worldwide, nonexclusive license to Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) of its patented platform DNA immunization technology and its Vaxfectin® adjuvant for use in the production of antibodies.

As per the terms of the agreement, BMY will use VICL’s technology to generate antibodies with potential therapeutic uses in humans. Under the agreement, the company will also provide specific quantities of the Vaxfectin adjuvant to BMY from time to time. VICL did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement with BMY.

Commenting on the agreement, Vijay B. Samant, president and CEO of Vical, said that VICL is pleased to enter into the agreement with BMY. Samant noted that the agreement recognizes an important application of VICL’s DNA immunization technology. He further said that DNA immunization has been used widely in research setting as an efficient means of antibody production and the agreement represents a meaningful step toward monetizing a common use of VICL’s broadly applicable intellectual property asset.

The agreement also establishes a template for additional agreements with others working in the field, according to Samant. He added that VICL’s Vaxfectin adjuvant has shown significant improvement in the efficiency of the immunization process and the company is excited to establish the initial license agreement for Vaxfectin as well.

PRTN has received Positive outlook rating by 2nd Opinion Stock Research. The equity research company initiated the coverage of PRTN on September 11, 2012. The stock has been given the price target of $0.30.

PRTN ended its previous quarter with an operating loss of $10,000. The company did not earn any revenue during this period. As on April 30, 2012, it had cash and cash equivalents worth $4,000. The company’s current assets on that date stood at $11,000. The company reported its current debt at $38,000 while its accounts payable stood at $16,000. PRTN ended its quarter with -$38,000 in total shareholder equity.

PRTN acquired Eaton Scientific Systems Ltd. Eaton is a major player in women’s health and drug segment. The company expects to augment its presence in the market with the help of this acquisition. Michael Borkowski, president and CEO of Eaton said, “We look forward to building market awareness and acceptance of Tropine 3 throughout the women’s health care sector in hopes of improving the lives of the over 50 million women in America.” Eaton recently developed a new indication for Homatropine.

PRTN is involved in the business of developing sales network for tankless water heaters. The company also holds license to female health products through its wholly owned subsidiary Eaton Scientific Systems. The company markets its products to corporate clients, retail clients, builders, governments and contractors. PRTN is a development stage company and it was formed in 2009. The company is based out of Trelawny in Jamaica.

The stock closed at $0.5923, which was a 14.16% decrease from its previous close of $0.69. It had opened at $0.70 and was trading in the range of $0.59 and $0.725. CHMR had been between $0.1375 and $2.0 in the previous 52 weeks. The company’s total market cap stood at $39.09 million.

CHMR opened above its previous day close but dropped quickly to $0.68 within few minutes of market open. Then it increased and was trading volatile till it stabilized around $0.66 by mid half of the session. Later in the afternoon, CHMR continued to drop further down to its intraday low of $0.59 and closed at $0.5923 at the end of the day.

The stock went up to its 52-week high at $1.84 on August 10 and then started deteriorating below $1.0. But it is still well above its 52-week low of $0.1375.

CHMR also traded heavily with a trading volume of 1.3 million shares compared to its average 5-day volume of 0.69 million shares and its daily average volume of 1.05 million shares.

The company recently announced that it is on a 90-day schedule to launch its first deployment at one of the largest hydrocarbon reserve in Mexico.

After having collaborated with PEMEX, a largest petroleum company in Latin America, CHMR is taking all the best efforts to utilize its three wells for carrying out the Non Hydraulic extraction process on a large scale.

Many countries including some parts of the U.S. and France had already banned the extraction of shale oil by using hydraulic fracturing since it pollutes ground water and endangers the environment.

Chimera’s new technology, which extracts the shale oil without the use of water, is designed in such a way that it replaces the conventional hydraulic extraction system without negative environmental hazards. Also, it does not use steam, LPG gel, natural gas or the pumping of anything hot into the well being used.

In October, Charles Grob, preseident of CHMR plans to make a presentation in France about the safety of its new Non Hydraulic technology. The management believes that this will make a revolutionary change in Shale Oil Industry in France and around the globe.

AVRW opened today at a price much above its previous day close price and increased steeply to its intraday high of $1.77 within few minutes of market open. It stabilized at the same price till the mid half of the day.

It had also traded heavily today with the trading volume so far for the day at 709 shares, compared to its Average 5 day Volume of 700 shares and its daily average volume of 558 shares.

The company had recently approved for an amendment in Revolving Credit Agreement with Wells Fargo Capital Finance LLC.

As per the Management, it amends the Revolving Credit Agreement to change the date for cash collateralization of the undrawn amount of Aventine’s outstanding letters of credit from September 7, 2012 to September 30, 2012 and the forbearance agreement to extend the date of the forbearance period from the earlier of September 30, 2012 or the occurrence of a further event of default under the Revolving Credit Agreement or the occurrence of certain other events specified in the forbearance agreement.

According to the recent voting by shareholders, 60% of them including the board of directors support for the loan restructuring. Thus it has decided to restructure 100% of its term loan and would convert into newly issued common equity of the Company on a fully diluted basis.

This restructuring agreement will help the company in reducing its existing debt of $135 million and improve its liquidity. It is expected to be completed by end of the 3rd quarter.

The company’s CEO, John Castle quoted that the Industry as a whole is facing difficult time and he promised that the management will strive to improve the company’s financial position.

GYST reported 341 percent in its retail sale of gold and silver. The company sold more metal in the month of August than in the rest of the year combined. Paul Howarth, CEO of GYST said, “In fact, the retail division has grown faster than we expected – we sold more gold and silver in August then the rest of the year combined and we look forward to continued growth the rest of the year.” The company is looking to make more investments for the purpose of augmenting its revenue stream.

GYST has various outlets for selling gold and silver. It has online presence through its website. It also sells its products through EBay. The company will hold its shareholders meeting on October 1, 2012. The meeting will be held in California and the company will provide updates about its future course of action.

At last check, the penny stock of VKMD was trading 30.14% lower at $0.0350, with volume at 1.44 million. The stock has now fallen more than 48% in the last three trading sessions. In the last one month, VKMD shares have fallen more than 80%.

VKMD recently announced that it signed an agreement for a 60% interest ownership stake in a known gold-producing property in the district of Miraflores, province and department of Lima, Peru.

Commenting on the development, Charles Irizarry, president of Viking Minerals, said that VKMD has taken this step so that it can position itself to be turned into a fully producing gold mining company. Irizarry said that VKMD has undertaken extensive due diligence on the property and has been advised by its geological team and joint venture partners, Corizona Mining Partners LLC of Peru, that the property can produce gold immediately upon the establishment of the proper infrastructure and an alluvial processing plant on the property.

Under the terms of the agreement, VKMD will pay $500,000 to fund the establishment of a base camp and an alluvial production plant. The company said that all required government and environmental approvals are scheduled to be underway within the next two weeks.

Irizarry said that VKMD wants to move out of exploration and into production as soon as possible. The property is in an area adjacent to other properties that have produced gold for hundreds of years, noted Irizarry. He added that the property is also in close proximity to a property that has a National Instrument 43-101 technical report showing 36,432 ounces of proven reserves with 235,900 ounces of probable reserves.

The stock closed at $0.85, which was a drastic 38.41% decrease from its previous close of $1.38. It had opened Tuesday at $1.49 and was trading in the range of $0.82 and $1.57. LDHL had been between $0.02 and $1.57 in the previous 52 weeks. The company’s total market cap stands at $21.16 million and its latest recorded EPS is $-0.02.

LDHL opened today at a price above its previous day close and increased steeply to its 52 week high of $1.57 within few minutes of market open. The stock dropped to $0.93 and stabilized around $1.24 by mid half of the day. Later in the afternoon, it further declined to its intraday low of $0.82 and closed at $0.85.

LDHL also traded heavily with the trading volume at 0.99 million, compared to its average 5-day volume at 0.38 million and its daily average volume at 0.094 million.

The company is facing some financial constraints and poor liquidity. It is striving to earn positive net income and eliminate debt from its books.

LDHL recently signed two debt to equity conversion agreements for a total consideration of 400,000 shares of common stock valued at $0.24 per share. Though the agreement eliminates $46,000 debt from the books, it dilutes the value of the shares.

As per the quarterly results for June 30, 2012, the company’s net revenues decreased by 57% to $0.046 million from  $0.107 million in June 2011. In proportion to its decrease in revenues, its net losses had also reduced by 24% to $0.13 million from $0.17 million. Total assets are worth $0.04 million, including $746 as cash and its equivalents and the total liabilities are $4.01 million among which 100% are current. The stockholders’ impairment was at $3.97 million.

The management claims that it has plans to raise more funding through debt and equity, which will in turn be utilized for business acquisitions. Also, it is taking efforts to control cost to reduce and eliminate operating losses.

At last check, TIBX shares were trading 5.65% lower at $30.45, with volume up from daily average of 2.11 million to 7.76 million. The stock touched an intra-day low of $28.82 in today’s trading.

TIBX shares have slipped in today’s trading following a rating downgrade from Think Equity. Yun Kin, analyst at Think Equity, downgraded TIBX from Buy to Hold rating. Kim also lowered the price target on TIBX shares from $36 to $32.

In a research note to clients, Kim said that additional checks since early last week indicate that there could be some organizational issues lingering in the Americas region, which may lead to a reduction in the workforce for the region.

Shares of RF Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: RFMD), a designer and manufacturer of radio frequency components and compound semiconductor technologies, are soaring in today’s trading.

At last check, RFMD shares were trading 8.31% higher at $4.11, with volume up from daily average of 3.41 million to 5.67 million. The stock touched an intra-day high of $4.22 in today’s trading.

Last week, RFMD announced that it is enabling Samsung’s next generation GALAXY Note II with its PowerSmart® Power Platforms, which is the industry’s first and only converged multimode, multiband (MMMB) power amplifiers.

Bob Bruggeworth, President and CEO of RF Micro Devices, said that RFMD is delighted to support Samsung’s next generation GALAXY Note II as well as numerous other flagship devices in Samsung’s exciting family. Bruggeworth said that with the ramp of the GALAXY Note II, RFMD extends its coverage of Samsung’s portfolio to include all tiers and segments. He added that in the coming months, RFMD looks forward to the availability of additional devices and baseband architectures that expand the company’s business with Samsung to include additional Pas, incremental switch-based content and new high-performance WiFi front ends.

Shares of McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE: MCD), operating a chain of restaurants worldwide, are marginally higher in today’s trading.

At last check, MCD shares were trading 0.22% higher at $91.50, with volume at 3.28 million. The stock touched an intra-day high of $92.10 in today’s trading.

MCD shares are gaining after the company reported its sales results for the month of August. MCD’s global comparable sales for the month of August rose 3.7%. Comparable sales in U.S. rose 3%, while those in Europe rose 3.1%. Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa saw a 5.7% increase in comparable sales in August.

MCD’s systemwide sales for the month of August rose 1.2%.

Don Thompson, CEO of McDonald’s, said that MCD’s ability to connect with its customers and delivery what they want remains the cornerstone of the company’s long-term success.

The stock opened Monday at a price slightly above its previous day close but dropped to its intraday low of $0.0110 within few minutes of market open. Then it increased gradually to $0.0122 by the mid half of the day. Later in the afternoon, BBDA rose further up to its intraday high of $0.0135 and closed at $0.0132.

BBDA reached its 52-week high at $0.02 on August 20 and decreased steeply. But it is currently trading much above its 52-week low price of $0.0003.

BBDA also traded lightly for the day with the trading volume of 36.89 million shares, compared to its average 5-day volume of 42.44 million shares and its daily volume of 101.12 million shares.

Apart from the Euro-Asia-Australia expansion, BBDA plans to release its first brand extension of Koma Unwind, “Retreat Kola” with the South Carolina Walmart Rollout in the last quarter of this year.

It had recently signed an alliance with E-Z Shop Convenience Stores to distribute its popular liquid relaxation drink, Koma Unwind in their 28 stores throughout eastern South Carolina.

To create more visibility, BBDA recently entered into a distribution partnership with reputed beverage distributors, Mcleod Inc. and Amagra LLC to open up its market to over 12 million people in Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks counties in Pennsylvania, parts of San Jose, Alameda County and Sacramento.

According to the Management, the company has evolved so much since its inception as Renovo Holdings in 2003.  It is currently working on increasing the staff base and expanding its production capacity with regard to the increase in the demand for its products.
