Penny Stock on the Move: Atrinsic Inc. (ATRN) rose 50.80% in Yesterday’s Trading

Shares of Atrinsic Inc. (PINK: ATRN), a marketer of direct-to-consumer subscription products and Internet search-marketing agency, surged in Thursday’s trading session.

The penny stock of Atrinsic ended the day 50.80% higher at $0.264, with volume up from daily average of 25.08 million to 27.59 million. In the last one month, Atrinsic shares have gained 594.47%.

According to a filing made by Atrinsic earlier this month, Stuart Goldfarb resigned as the company’s CEO on January 30, 2012. Goldfarb has been replaced by Nathan Fong, who is the company’s CFO.

Fong will serve as Atrinsic’s CEO until his successor in such capacity is appointed by the board of directors. Goldfarb, meanwhile, will continue to serve on Atrinsic’s board, the company said in the filing.
