Small-Cap Stock Protalix Bio Therapeutics Inc. (PLX) trading Lower in Mid-Day Session
Shares of Protalix Bio Therapeutics Inc. (AMEX: PLX), a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development and commercialization of recombinant therapeutic proteins based on its ProCellEx protein expression system, are sinking in today’s trading.
At last check, the small-cap stock of Protalix was trading 10.60% lower at $5.48, with volume up from daily average of 182,797 to 1.52 million.
Protalix shares are sinking in today’s trading after the company announced the pricing of its underwritten public offering of 4.5 million shares of common stock at $5.25 per share. The underwriters to the offering have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to a total of 675,000 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. The company expects the offering to close on February 22, 2012.
