Toyota Motor Corp. (NYSE: TM) announced that it expects to generation an operating profit of over 1 trillion Yen. The company said that it would be equal to 5 percent operating margin. The company had earlier given a forecast of about 550 billion Yen for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2011. The company stock is currently trading at $85.42, down 2.40 percent from its previous close. Toyota Motor stock opened at $85.30 and touched the high of $86.09. The stock’s lowest price in today’s session is $84.76. The company stock’s EPS is $3.81. The company stock has traded in the range of $67.56 and $93.90 during the past 52 weeks. The company’s market cap is $133.8 billion and its P/E ratio is 22.40.

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) announced that its solar power generation system has started delivering 500 kilowatts of renewable energy. The plant has been set up by Ford in collaboration with DTE Energy and Xtreme power. The system would help in powering Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant. The company stock is currently trading at $14.44, up 2.70 percent from its previous close.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) announced that its CFO Chris Liddell has decided to step down from his position. Mr. Liddell was considered to be front runner for succeeding company chief executive officer Ed Whitacre, but board of directors chose Dan Akerson instead. Liddell helped the company in filing a successful public stock sale in November. The company said that Liddell’s resignation will be effective from April 1. He will be succeeded by the current treasurer Dan Ammann. The company stock is currently trading at $14.40, up 2.42 percent from its previous close. General Motors stock opened at $13.90 and touched the high of $14.46. The stock’s lowest price in today’s session is $13.87. The company stock’s EPS is $1.59. The company stock has traded in the range of $9.75 and $18.97 during the past 52 weeks. The company’s market cap is $54.58 billion and its P/E ratio is 9.10.
