Cannabis Science Inc. (CBIS) Opens Friday’s Session Trading Higher

Shares of Cannabis Science Inc. (OTC: CBIS), a medical marijuana company, are surging in today’s trading session. At last check, the stock is up 4.34% at  $0.0746.

The penny stock of CBIS ended Thursday 19.17% higher at $0.0715, with volume up from daily average of 5.16 million to 9.15 million. The stock gained 37.5% in the last three trading sessions.

Cannabis Science shares rose on Thursday after the company announced the appointment of Roscoe Moore, DVM, Ph. D, MPH, to its Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Moore has previously served as the chief epidemiologist with the Centers of Devices and Radiological Health in the U.S. FDA. In June 2003, he was named a Senior Fellow at the Potomic Institute.

Dr. Moore currently serves as the CEO and Vice Chairman of Global Flu Consortium.
