NASDAQ Stock Telik Inc. (TELK) Surges in Thursday’s Session
Shares of Telik Inc. (NASDAQ: TELK), a clinical-stage drug development company engaged in the discovery and development of small molecule drugs to treat cancer, surged in Thursday’s trading session.
The small-cap stock of TELK ended the day 29.79% higher at $5.62. The stock extended its gains in after-hours trading on Thursday, rising more than 4%.
Earlier this month, Telik announced its first-quarter 2012 financial results. TELK reported net loss of $2.3 million for the three-month period ended March 31, 2012. This compares with a net loss of $3.7 million, or $2.05 per share reported for the same period in the previous year.
