Horizon Pharma Inc. (HZNP) Trading Higher in Today’s Session
Shares of Horizon Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ: HZNP), a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development and commercialization of medicines to target unmet therapeutic needs in arthritis, pain and inflammatory diseases, are climbing in today’s trading.
At last check, the small-cap stock of HZNP was trading 15.78% higher at $4.25, with volume up from daily average of 217,148 to 1.59 million.
Horizon Pharma last week released its first-quarter financial results. For the first quarter ended March 31, 2012, the company reported net sales of $2.5 million, compared with $1.8 million reported for the same period in the previous year. The company’s net loss for the quarter was $23.7 million, or $0.98 per share, compared with $7.7 million, or $5.13 per share reported for the same period in the previous year.
