Medical Marijuana Stock Cannabis Science Inc. (CBIS) Soars in Tuesday’s Trading Session
Shares of Cannabis Science Inc. (OTC: CBIS), a medical marijuana company, surged in Tuesday’s trading session. The penny stock of CBIS ended the day 38.39% higher at $0.100. Despite the rally on Tuesday, CBIS shares are down more than 7% in the last three trading sessions.
At last check, the penny stock is down 5% to $0.0950 in today’s session.
Cannabis Science shares have been in focus over the last few days following a statement from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to President Obama. In her statement, Nancy Pelosi supported the medical cannabis industry. She said that access to medical marijuana for individuals who are ill or enduring difficult and painful therapies is both a medical and states’ right issue.
Dr. Robert Melamede, CEO of Cannabis Science, said that he expects to continue to see more and more politicians come out in favor of the medical cannabis industry over the next few months.
